Do you say your dream(s) out loud?
My granddaughter was singing in the car. She sang an unfamiliar Christmas song. I asked her where she learned it. “I made it up.” (It was surprisingly good with a repeating melody, a chorus, and rhymes. She’s five.)
“I’m going to be a singer when I grow up.” She paused. “And an artist.” She’s been saying artist for over a year.
I don’t remember doing this as a child. I know I had dreams. Whatever they were, I feared saying them out loud. What would others say? Worse, they might laugh. I know this because I wrote for two years before I said, “I’m a writer.”
Saying your dreams out loud:
Keeps your dream(s) in view.
Lessens the fear of pursuing your dreams in front of others.
Helps keep your eyes open to look for opportunities.
Informs others who may bring you opportunities.
Keeps you accountable for taking action towards achieving them.
As parents and grandparents, we encourage our granddaughter to dream. We fully support her. When she expressed a desire for 100 jobs, we told her that might be a challenge. More than one job is definitely doable as long as she loves what she is doing.
What about you? Do you share your dreams, opening yourself to the possibilities?
Say your dream(s) out loud. You can make them come true.
7 Days, 7 Thoughts on Gratitude and Good
A quote: "Caring about what others think of you is a waste of time. Most people don’t have a clue what to think of themselves." ― Zane Baker
It’s good to have a vision. In 1971, astronaut Stuart Roosa had a different Idea of what to take to space on the Apollo 14 trip. Check it out in this podcast, Moon Trees. 🌙
Sharing your thoughts and dreams is a good way to connect with others.
I keep arts and crafts supplies for my granddaughter. Brush-tipped markers like these made her declare I had the best markers ever. They go great with the Doug & Melissa Drawing Pad.* ✍
I love children’s art. I’m grateful to have saved and framed for display pieces of my children’s art. I enjoy it on a daily basis.
Speaking of art, do you know what the average color of the universe is? Take a peek. You may be surprised.

Very inspirational, and somewhat a relief regarding the next generation… perhaps they will live to see the Mars Colony?
You are blessed to have your granddaughters close enough to share with their dreams. And that their parents share the girls! I think Margo has the same blessing.,
